Riverston, Sri Lanka

Located in the Matale district, Riverston is one of the scenic mountain peaks in Sri Lanka. This peak is about 4,800 feet above sea level. Fully covered in mist, this place is one of the easiest peaks to climb, even at the noon. This tourist place consists of many beautiful features. Mini World's End, Bambarakiri Ella(Waterfall), mist-covered VHS Tower, and tea plantations are among them. The road to Riverston is narrow and under development. We traveled in a Leyland bus with nearly 54 seats, and it was a nightmare turning and climbing on those roads. Long vehicles will have trouble climbing those inclined roads. From the entrance to the peak, there is an old road with a steep slope on one side and forest-like vegetation on the other side. We can see a few springs running from rocks. The water is cold and refreshing. There are a few shortcuts as well, where we have to climb holding to the rocks and trees. Always beware of the leeches. They'll suck the blood out of you and you'll never know it until it starts bleeding or pain. Sanitizer would do the trick on them I guess. On top of the peak, it is all misty and chilling. And yes, you can take many cool photos out there.
